On the surface, Elise is a shy, unassuming 23-year-old. Despite working for a successful wine company in London, her life is anything but lavish. In her efforts to save money for the deposit to buy a flat, she lurks by the reduced section in her supermarket and builds her wardrobe from the sale rail in charity shops. Her life suddenly takes a dramatic turn, which leads her to Paris and finds her weaving through previously unknown stories of the heroism of her family.
