The exquisite Alice's Wonderland Quilt combines a variety of quilting techniques in one stunning sampler quilt which features 100 blocks. Each block forms a 6-inch square which then joins together at the end with the other blocks to make the finished quilt comprising of 100 beautiful blocks.After you have made your main blocks, the stunning rainbow border of the quilt is added. I also love rainbows, so for this quilt I chose ten rainbows of ten fabrics each, totalling 100 different fabrics for the 100 different blocks. You could choose an entirely different colour scheme if you wish, such as all reds or blues.Alice’s Wonderland began as a Block of the Month Club quilt, which divided the quilt into bite-size chunks of ten blocks a month. The final two months were dedicated to sashing, borders and finishing. You could approach the project this way, too, or go at a different pace, depending on your lifestyle or how you like to work.The early blocks introduce you gently to the basics, then gradually, you’ll encounter more intricate designs.
